This Thanksgiving, we’re throwing down the challenge:
Collect pledges from friends and family to show your support for the Saskatchewan SPCA
Animals need your help. Let’s show our province – and the world – that together we can create a humane world for all.
How do you get involved?
Encourage your friends and family members to support the Saskatchewan SPCA by collecting pledges and donations at your Thanksgiving gathering.
Any donation over $10 is eligible for a charitable tax receipt so be sure to get the name, address, and phone number of everyone who makes a donation so we can send them their receipt.
About the Saskatchewan SPCA
The Saskatchewan Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (Saskatchewan SPCA) is an animal welfare organization based in Saskatoon. As the provincial voice on animal welfare, we help raise awareness of the human-animal bond and promote the humane treatment of animals.
We are developing a broad range of new initiatives, notably the registration and certification of rescue groups. Other projects include the development of resources to help both the animal and the human victims of violence and abuse.
The Saskatchewan SPCA is making a difference in the lives of animals in other ways, such as:
- spearheading the registration and certification of animal rescue groups;
- promoting animal safekeeping programs to help the animal and the human victims of domestic violence;
- supporting therapy dog outreach programs;
- educating the public on responsible pet ownership; and
- providing support for the veterinary care of retired police dogs.
We operate with the generous support of our members, donors, and volunteers. Proceeds from the Thanksgiving Challenge are used to support the Saskatchewan SPCA as we work to prevent animal cruelty and promote the humane treatment of animals.
